    Principal
    David Briggs
    Dave has practiced architecture in New York City for twenty-two years and founded Loci Architecture in 1993. Since then, he has completed over one hundred projects including new construction, exterior restorations, building renovations and interiors in the residential, institutional and commercial sectors. In 2009, Dave co-founded the local community group Gowanus by Design and chairs the Amber Charter School in Harlem. Dave is licensed to practice architecture in New York, New Jersey, Louisiana, and Washington DC.
  • Edward Jose, RA LEED AP
    Project Architect
    Edward Jose
    Ed joined Loci Architecture in 2011 with over 18 years of experience in residential, commercial and institutional design. As a project architect with Perkins Eastman, Ed spent 11 years working on senior-living and higher-education projects with budgets ranging from $1M to $100M. Ed has three architectural degrees from Canada, is NCARB certified, and is licensed to practice architecture in New York and New Jersey.
  • Emily Danzinger-Willemsen, LEED AP BD+C
    Project Manager
    Emily Danzinger-Willemsen
    Prior to graduating from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and joining Loci Architecture in 2008, Emily worked for architecture firms in Phoenix, Arizona; Reno, Nevada; and Albany, New York. She is currently managing two Local Law 11/98 exterior restoration projects with a combined construction cost of $8M and one high-end residence.
  • Kenneth Miraski, LEED Green Associate
    Project Manager
    Kenneth Miraski
    A graduate of Philadelphia University, Ken is currently working on several projects including a high-end residential project, a facade replacement on an 18-story building, and two fast-track cardiology suite clinics. His experience includes preparing contract documents, researching sustainable materials/products and assisting with 3D presentation and BIM modelling for proposed designs.
  • Anthony Harris, LEED AP
    Designer
    Anthony Harris
    A graduate of the University of Michigan, Anthony has worked in offices in New York City and Washington DC for the past seven years where his projects have included developing design schemes for the National Museum of Natural History, detailing the exterior of a major addition to a hotel and conference center, and preparing Landmark presentations for properties in historic districts. He is currently the project manager for a $2.3M exterior restoration project near Lincoln Center.
  • Adel Bagli, LEED Green Associate
    Designer
    Adel Bagli
    Adel joined Loci Architecture after working at the office of Audrey Matlock Architect on a range of residential projects. He is currently designing a renovation to a townhouse in Washington DC and managing the building entry restoration at a Morris Lapidus-designed residential complex. Adel earned his graduate architecture degree at The University of Texas at Austin in 2007.
  • Tobias Demuth
    Designer
    Tobias Demuth
    After joining the firm in 2008, Tobias worked on the first of several cardiology suites with a repeat client and a science classroom renovation project for a school on the Upper East Side. Tobias left in 2009 to complete his studies in Germany and has recently returned to work on our first international project in Switzerland, and other residential projects in the office.
  • Mary Anne Steel-Hayes
    Bookkeeper / Office Manager
    Mary Anne Steel-Hayes
    Mary Anne joined the Loci Architecture team in 2011. Her previous experience in photography and production companies compliments her work in an architectural practice. As a full-time Office Manager/Bookkeeper, Mary Anne’s role within the team allows the architectural staff to focus on delivering outstanding project results for our clients.
