New York, New York
The Saint David’s School has worked on various projects with Loci Architecture over the years including the $900,000 renovation and upgrade of three science lab classrooms in their main building and two classrooms in an adjacent building. The science lab rooms include a new fume hood for conducting controlled experiments and a climatarium. Each classroom has an interactive board and a demonstration area. For the math and art rooms, each classroom was converted from an existing one bedroom apartment. Although properly outfitted to meet the teaching needs of the school and to maximize flexibility and storage, each room was carefully designed to retain the historic character of the original apartments while creating a seamless aesthetic transition.
